The SPAF Academy has been developed and funded by Boehringer Ingelheim for UK healthcare professionals with an interest in Stroke Prevention in Atrial Fibrillation (SPAF).

We are overseen by an independent steering committee, the SPAF Academy Faculty, drawn from general practice, cardiology, haematology, nursing and stroke management.

The primary objective of the SPAF Academy is to help reduce the incidence and severity of AF-related stroke.

Given the challenges of a rapidly changing NHS environment, we aim to create and share educational materials, provide forums on the latest management approaches and encourage innovative solutions to improve care for patients with AF.

As part of the SPAF Academy’s educational programme we are holding our third National Meeting at The Royal Institution in London on Thursday, 21st March.
